Paris in Winter
The day that I arrived in the City of Lights, it was cold and there was snow falling from the grey skies. I felt like I was in a timewarp while exploring the picturesque neighborhoods . I got lost in the hallways of the Louvre and took long leisurely walks on the Champs-Élysées. It is very easy to fall in love with Paris. No other city is as charming and beautiful and nostalgic. On my last day, I stood atop the Eiffel tower and gazed at the twinkling lights of the city reflected on the Seine, and thought to myself that one day I will be back, walk the same streets, eat at the same cafes, and live the past four days, sometime again in the future.

Philips Senso Touch 3d Launch and Exhibition
Philips launched the new Senso Touch 3d at an event held at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world as of writing!) last October 20, 2010. Part of the event was an exhibit showcasing artworks that were creative interpretations of the new product.
5 artists from different disciplines were invited to create a work of art inspired by the Philips Senso Touch 3d. As one of the invited artists, I created a mural for the event, using acrylic on wood as my chosen medium. The mural was made out of three wooden boards, and hung rather unconventionally ( on a baggage trolley and clothes hangers).
There will be a follow-up exhibition at the Shelter Gallery, Al Quoz, Dubai soon and the artworks will be auctioned off for charity.

My custom work stolen by replica site
I have custom painted art work on a of couple LV items and they are chronicled on several Purseforum threads.
However...today I got a shock when a fellow TPF member PM-ed me that a replica site has stolen my work with this:
At first I found it just amusing, but then realization sank in; the design was custom made and was designed for a specific person, its not supposed to be mass produced. it makes me upset that the piraters can take something that's handmade with love, and turn it into something thats cheap and common.
Anyway folks, shit happens. Keep creating in spite of it all.

Prettymonkeys26 + MEGA = MEGAfuschia
‘MEGA’ is a creation of the urban arts collaborative ‘Foo Dog’ and is the first designer toy to be created by an Emarati - Mohammed Abedin. MEGA is set to give artists a new medium of creativity and a new mode of expression.
100 selected professional artists living and residing in the UAE took part in this concept and customized 100 designer toys which then went on to be displayed in the Gate Village at DIFC making it one of the largest ‘Custom Toys Exhibitions’ in Middle East.
The event brought together one of the greatest artistic collaborations of artists in the region and gave birth to a new take on the urban art scene in the Middle East.

Take it to the Streets
The Brownmonkeys and Pilipinas Street Plan go mural-mad on a 60 meter long wall on the Abu Dhabi corniche. The graffiti mural wall was part of the official line up of WOMAD 2010, and it was three days and two nights of culture, amazing music, and gorgeous beach-side weather. Every night, kids got to participate in the wall as part of the WOMAD children’s workshops, and it was fun helping out little future artists draw and paint on the wall. The whole experience was exhausting; we were all staying up late till 2-am every night of the festival just to finish the wall on time.
However tired we all got we still had so much fun. Everyone was just feeding off each other’s energy and the camaraderie was infectious. As the graffiti wall came together, seeing the reactions and compliments of festival goers as they passed by made it all worth the effort. Here’s hoping we do it all again next year!
